Let's face it. Over the last 75 years or so, Hollywood has cranked out hundreds of thousands of movies and TV shows for us to watch. Not only is there a huge backlog of movies we could watch, they come out with new ones every day too! With such a dizzying array of movies, shows, specials, sports events and other events, how can we ever choose what we want to watch at any given time? Satellite companies have given us the ability to watch virtually anything we want at any time during the day, but all that does is make sure we get confused. Or does it?

Each of us has certain movie types we like, whether its mystery, dramas, romantic comedies or action, and providers have taken notice. By grouping movies together in interests, it makes it much easier to find what we want to watch. And by grouping these interests into different movie packages, everyone can find a package or packages they want to subscribe to that gives them the best of the best when it comes to movies, first run shows and specials. And instead of being limited to one movie channel, companies have put together packages of channels to satisfy virtually every need.

For a good general collection of movies, nothing beats the granddaddy of them all: HBO. Between getting the best of the best from Hollywood, providing great new shows and cutting edge specials and sporting shows and events, HBO has perhaps the best lineup of any movie package available today. And with the addition of channels like HBO Family and HBO Latino, everyone in the household can find great entertainment anytime of the day or night.

However, for those who are more interested in action oriented movies and shows, Starz, Showtime and Cinemax have a great selection of movies on tap. Not only do the main channels in these packages have a huge selection of current Hollywood releases and new first run shows, but the other channels in their respective packages target specific audiences for more action oriented movies, dramas, mysteries and romance. And each of these packages features other great channels like Sundance for those who like Indie films, The Movie Channel for even more Hollywood movies, Flix, Encore, Starz and even more channels catering to those who like older movies and westerns. Every genre of movies has an outlet for even the most jaded audiences.

We can't leave out the HD channels either. Available with every package are the new HD channels for those with HDTV who want to experience the best in cinematic quality right in the comfort of their own homes. Not only are the movies shown in their original format, but all the special events, first run shows and even the coming attractions are all shown in spectacular HD quality.

What it really comes down to is not which package to get, but whether or not to get all of them. Hundreds of movies every month available at the click of a button, and with multiple packages, providers are giving consumers great deals. With such great deals and great movies, why choose? Get all of them and truly enjoy your TV to its fullest!
